The work of China in the sector of renewable energy especially solar energy isn’t restricted to their country only. The country that houses some of the world’s biggest solar parks is transforming the world’s energy trend on the global level. Overtime, these trends are shifting and changing. The quest to provide green energy in an economical way is every going. The need of time is the efficient transfer of the usable energy from far off lands into the crowded cities where it is needed.

The efficient use of solar parks

China is killing two birds with one stone, the Northern region of the country is barren land due to permafrost. These are the permanently frozen grounds due to prolonged snow fall and extreme winter. Solar setting in such areas will be helpful in melting the frozen ground and let the vegetation and trees grow again. Moreover, the region rejects China’s claim over property. This will be good investment to help the inhabitants as well as reclaiming the land.

The problem with China’s solar park

Although China is winning the race of most solar parks there is one issue with them. On the basis of population the lower part of China is densely populated then the Northern region. Almost 94% of the population is in the lower regions. Thus the solar park set ups are in the northern region. The energy is lost when made to travel such long distances. Despite the higher production levels the capacity factor is really low.

How are they combating the problem?

The problem is being dealt with by using effective carriers of energy. Durable wires that are able to transmit energy without the loss as well as the storage options are under consideration. An alternate way of providing the renewable energy is the small-sized unit of the solar panels. Customized panels for rooftops of houses and buildings are effective against long transmissions.
