The conventional YouTube offers a separate platform for kids. This section includes the video that is helpful in the learning and exploring of the intellect. Friendly lectures and informative videos are easily available. They also include how to do video, poems and animated stories. “We created YouTube Kids to make it safer and simpler for kids to explore the world through online video – their favorite shows and music,” says the app’s description. The recent events suggest something different.
Self-harming tips
It was reported by a Mother that an apparently harmless video depicting suicide and self-harming tips have popped up twice on YouTube kids. Video from the Nintendo Gaming Splatoon shows a man ‘Filthy Franks’ that delivers the harmful information. The video shows him cutting his arm while saying “Remember kids, sideways for attention, long ways for results. End it.”
Adult Content
There is another clip reported to pop up in the App that contained adult language. The serious incidents are cartoon-fied and are made to look like something that is not gravely serious. For the kids and keeping the scenario taking the things seriously is even more difficult. The clip about a game Minecraft features adult language followed by a clip of school shooting in low resolution.
Physical Abuse
Minds of small human beings are fragile they follow what they see. The media content control and scrutiny are very important. Another video on YouTube kids implies physical abuse and trafficking. An anime-styled video showed male character exchanging visible abuse and harming a female character.

Reporting the video and Control
YouTube has a set mechanism for the control of such video that is by reporting it. The video can be reported based on the content and the votes or reports will determine whether it should be removed or not. The complaint has also suggested that the comment section of one particular video of this sort had comments about the report and removal that were 8 months old. It means that no action was taken to remove the video. The content on YouTube might not be as save as YouTube suggests it to be.
