Will Facebook ultimately shut down?

A huge population of the world uses Facebook. It is a popular social network Site. The user interacts with
other users. It has made the world a global village. We are dependent on it socially and business wise to
a considerable scale. The question arises: Will Facebook shut down?
This is not imaginary
It is not imaginary to think like that. We have seen events in history. Many social network sites like
MySpace, Orkut and others were used as a social media platform. They were popular in the 2000’s. Then
Mark Zuckerberg launched Facebook. It was a dynamic change for the world. The site was initially
popular among Harvard students. Mark Zuckerberg proved to be a talented coder. He programmed his
site with attractive features. He made the site connect on large scales. The site became a global
platform within a short period of time.
Every rise has a fall
We know that everything has a fall. Studies have been conducted. They show that users, especially teen
users use Snapchat more than Facebook nowadays. What is the reason for this unpopularity?
Facebook has become less innovative
Facebook has lost its innovation. Artificial Intelligence is changing the world. New generation has a
different school of thought. They rely on rapid exchange of information. They do not want to waste time
in socializing with people in unsynchronized manner. With the Facebook feed, you get a random feed of
information, which is addictive. Although the user ratio is increasing day by day, this should not betray
us with the fact that this site is backed up with a strong business backbone. This ultimately increases its
advertisement. However, we should know that quality matters more than quantity. If this quality ratio is
disturbed, then it is ultimately leading to its decline.
People are preferring more specific information
People prefer more specific information. The world is advancing towards a competitive state. This
means that every sector is chasing money. Money is becoming the ultimate power.
Whatsapp has reduced the need for Facebook Messenger app
Whatsapp has all the features needed for video calling, sending voice notes and texting. It now offers
even group conference calls, and all with much better quality. There is no need for messenger app as
such.
Recent data leak and online privacy concerns individuals
Recent privacy concerns and data leak cases like Mark Zuckerberg court hearing cases and Edward
Snowden leaks, use of data for political campaigns and personalized ad search is becoming a major
concern for users. They are now becoming more concerned about the ongoing situation.
All these factors count toward the fact that maybe Facebook will shut down. Let’s see if these factors
turn out to be true or Facebook tries to fix these errors.
