Stay Alert! PTA straight forward block over 830,000 websites
Officially PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) has blocked over 900,000 swear websites.The block websites were hosting anti-state and anti-judiciary.
More websites were blocked due to pornographic content.Over 11,000 webpages contained anti-state content. As well 50,000 websites contained anti-judiciary and about 50,000 swear content. The amazing news is over 830,000 websites blocked were about pornographic.
In the past, PTA has aware about digital content that does not meet with religious standards. PTA has authority to block sites under the prevention of Electronic crime ACT section 37.
Therefore, PTA has created an e-portal to monitor such activities and content on websites. After many complaints PTA took action. PTA also in contact with Telecom service to keep an eye on such swear content. As well as bring the unwanted content into their notice.
Most of the swear content was found on Facebook and Twitter accounts. Both giants companies assure PTA they will take action on it as early as possible.
