Sony launches the world’s first pocket air conditioner that users can wear.
Japanese conglomerate announced a product “Reon Pocket”. It is a thermal device you can wear underneath your shirt to keep you cool during summer days.
The device was announced last year. The company had no idea when the product will go into production for sale. The device was recently made available for sale on Sony’s official website for $120. The T-shirt holder is separately available and will set buyers back by $20.
Working and Construction
The Reon Pocket raises the body temperature by 8 degrees in winters and lower the user’s body temperature by 13 degrees in winters. It works by employing the Peltier effect to serve as a heat pump.

One of the surfaces of the device rests against the wearer’s back. The heat is through a small fan that vents warm air out.
The Reon Pocket can be connected to Android and iOS applications allowing the user to manually control the temperature.
