PTA has decided to suspend the PUBG game temporarily. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority took this action, because of complaints received from different segments of society.
PTA has received complaints against PUBG wherein it is stated that the game is a wastage of time, addictive and poses a serious negative impact on the psychological and physical health of the children.
Cases of suicide attributed to the PUBG game have also been reported.

Lahore High court has directed PTA to look into the issue and decide the matter after hearing the complaints. A hearing is being conducted on the 9th of July 2020.
PTA decided to solicit views of the public regarding the said online game. The public is encouraged to provide feedback through consultation-pubg@pta.gov.pk by July 10, 2020.
