Pakistani student Faaiz Arbab has to build the first Voice-operated Wheelchair. Wheelchair controlled through smartphone Application.
Faaiz Arbab, a graduate of Electrical engineering from LUMS is the inventor of this wheelchair. The name of the chair is “GOBEE”. The interesting thing is that Faaiz develops this wheelchair with the help of the National Incubation Centre (NIC) and AYECo.

A smartphone Application control this wheelchair through voice commands. The smartphone app has the “Call N Go” feature. According to the NIC, a person can call a wheelchair from a distance of 15 kilometers.

The project is the result of the hard work of Faiz. He started work on it early this year. But he didn’t feel it was ready to use. Then he decided to submit their idea to NIC at LUMS. Then NIC provided him the best environment and full support to complete this incredible project.
Some fantastic features of this wheelchair are given below:
- Equipped with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi facility
- Remote control operation facility of 100 feet
- Water-resistant
- Long-life battery power with 18h each.
- Drive power is 40km per charge
- Bright LED lights for night
- Emergency stop and call buttons
PTI MNA Asad Umer has given a tweet on this wheelchair as well with video.
Moreover, Faiz said that he already received multiple orders from Pakistan Army, Navy and several NGOs.
In the end, this is the biggest achievement in Pakistan’s history. That exactly what Pakistan needs. Best work, support a dedication lead to success.
