How Pakistan is Dealing With Cybersecurity Threats?

Syed Amin Ul Haque, Federal Minister of IT and Telecommunication addressed the ceremony of the 3-day “Online International Conference on Cyber Security: opportunities, challenges, and way forward”. Dr. Arif Alvi, President of Pakistan was the chief guest of the ceremony. It was organized by a virtual University.

Syed Amin Ul Haque said:

Cybersecurity is about the protection of organizations and individuals from cyber attacks. His ministry tries to take steps for safe and better digital Pakistan.

His ministry is playing and effective role in digital Pakistan under the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan. He said that cyberspace is a fifth-generation warfare domain. It has recently attracted the attention of developing and developed countries. Cybersecurity has led to widespread chaos in the digital world.
He also added that cybercrime has importance in the digital era. It has shaken the world through advanced and innovative tactics of attacks.

Pakistan is facing cybercrime-related issues. Ministry of IT has issued an advisory regarding intended and potential threats to cybersecurity. It poses a concern for national security.

Minister of IT said that Pakistan has tech-savvy youth. Considering this fact, the Ministry has launched DigiSkills Training Program to equip the youth of Pakistan with technical skills to enable them to contribute to the economy of Pakistan. The program has trained 1.2 million youth who are adding value to this sector. Pakistan is the fourth largest freelance market. Offering freelance services to multinational companies in the world.

He said:
The ministry congratulated Virtual University for organizing International Conference on Digitalization and Cyber Security and gathering IT professionals and intellectuals.
