Apple FaceTime is officially enabled in Pakistan. It is a piece of good news for iPhone users and Apple lovers in Pakistan.

When FaceTime comes to iPhone applications, it is one of the fan favorites. But in Pakistan mostly iPhone users do not have FaceTime as Apple did not support the country. Vendors sold FaceTime as two models like FaceTime locked models and FaceTime unlocked models.

But now in Pakistan, many things are changing. With these other changes, things are also changing in Pakistan’s smartphone market thanks to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority.  Now iPhone will be sold legally because it will be imported through official channels along with other smartphones. Now Pakistani consumers are paying more courtesy of the tighter tax policies, so they might as well get the full package.

FaceTime is one of the iPhone’s signature features. It is a video calling service just like Skype, where two users can do video chat.  If you are iPhone users then follow the following procedure.

Here is a list of iPhone models which can support FaceTime:

  • iPhone 5s
  • iPhone 6, 6 Plus
  • iPhone 7, 7s, 7 Plus, 7s Plus
  • iPhone 8, 8 Plus

The old iPhone users have to need to install the new iOS 12.4 update. It states, “Enables FaceTime audio and video calling for iPhone and iPad devices sold in Pakistan.” When it updated, then restart your iPhone and you will be able to use FaceTime.

To install the updates, follow the following steps.

Fully charged your Phone.

Create a backup for your data.

Go to settings, then in general settings locate software updates. Click on Download and Install iOS 12.4 update.
