Careem has launched its carpooling service in Pakistan to attract more customers through affordable fares. The service introduced as a new car-type, called “Go Share”, in the new Update of Careem App. This service initially launched in Lahore in the first phase. Soon it will be available in other major cities of Pakistan.
Carpooling is a ride-sharing service which allows customers to share a ride on the same route and share the fare. This is also attracted to a significantly large number of passengers. Especially for the students.
For Go Share, customers will pay 30-40 percent less fare than normal rides but will avail the same quality of service. According to the official, a maximum of three customers can share a ride.

Carpooling service introduced in Pakistan by many companies like Tripda (intercity) and Savaree three years ago. But these were not famous as Careem or Uber. Uber is providing carpooling service in India.
The ride-sharing service actually could not make inroads in the Pakistani market earlier but ride-hailing services such as Uber and Careem have paved the way for such a mode of commute.
