Bug in Galaxy S10 that drains the battery
The latest phone of theis a big hit. Unlike another phone, many new features were offered on the cell phone. The cameras were of special importance. The 3-camera phone that offered the professional camera like options became really popular among the user. Well, nothing is perfect and there is always room for improvement. The S10 users are facing an issue with the battery. This gives Samsung a room to work to improve this problem.
The problem that is faced by the users is that the battery of the phone is draining really fast. The screen time is increased which is resulting in the drainage. The set of latest included features is resulting in the increased screen time, which in turn is draining the battery excessively.
Cause of the problem
The cause behind is the problem is the Samsung new tap feature. This allows the activation of the screen on a single touch. The users put their phones in pockets. The skin through the fabric mimics the touch gesture and results in the activation of the screen. The repeated incidence of this phenomenon leads to the draining of the battery.
The other cause associated with this is the opening of a new application. The application adds to the already draining battery. The camera app, when opened accidentally for a longer period of time, contributes to the draining. Most of the users’ complaints were related to the camera app or the opening of the multiple Apps.
The dim light in the pocket activates other sensors as well. They increase the brightness which also results in the battery lose.

“First thing I did was activate tap to wake, I have never seen this in a Samsung phone before. Now I have the newest that Samsung has to offer and it does not work properly,” another user explains on Samsung’s US Community Forum. “My leg through my fabric taps the phone and opens it up.”
Another frustrated user complained, “My leg through my fabric taps the phone and opens it up. This is draining my battery, and your accidental touch protection feature is useless. That’s two features down right there. $900 for what? A flagship that doesn’t work properly?”
The user’s solution
The company hasn’t made any comments about this problem faced by its users. The users have come up with the solutions on their part which is to turn on the ‘Accidental Touch Protection’, or to switch off ‘Touch Sensitivity’, or even turning off ‘Always-On Display’ feature.
