The most heard news of yesterday was a ban on the short video app TikTok. Pakistan Government has banned the app, but trump has also claimed to ban the popular app TikTok in the USA due to national security risks. Several complaints from different segments of society have come into notice. PTA Government gave the reason for this banning that people are sharing immoral and indecent content on the TikTok app. many people are in favor of this, and many highly disagree with this ban.

Some people are annoyed with this ban because they say for many poor and lower-middle-class people, TikTok was the source of income. Providing jobs and sources of income is Pakistan’s Government job, but they are much eager to ban social apps. Many people say that they will miss the ample opportunity. TikTok is not just for entertainment purposes, but it also a vital marketing tool. And many professional and local business promote their products and services by using this app as a marketing tool.

The Pakistani industry lacks new talent

Moreover, the Pakistani industry lacks new talent. People got bore seeing the same faces in every other drama because of the lack of new talent. TikTok was the only app that allows many talented people. Who can be encouraged based on their skill, and we have seen many new faces coming into the industry through this app, making their names in the industry. With this, many popular actors are also using this app and earning more popularity with this app. Many people are also promoting their photography skills with this app.

But some people are in favor of this ban. Saying that banning of TikTok app is a good initiative as this app is promoting vulgarity and indecent content just for the sake of likes and followers. Islamic country is indulging their youngsters into immorality. TikTok app should respect the socio-religious values of society. On the other side, many people got fame from the TikTok by spending a lot of money, just because of a few people, the app is just banned. Pakistan Government and PEMRA should set rules and regulations for using the TikTok app. No one can do social violence and control the content reflecting people’s anger and stance on the present government. And restart the app as this app is giving earning too many people. Any person who posts against that instruction should be punished and should pay a fine.
