Artificial intelligence is the ability in machines to perform complex, multiple tasks and make critical decisions in as accurate manner as a human will do. Artificial intelligence is seen in nearly all technologies seen nearby us. It is becoming an integral part of our daily life.
From Morning to Night, it is with us
AI is with us from morning to night. When we wake up, the first thing we do is unlock our phones with our fingerprints. This is an example of AI. When we make a call to someone, we use Siri or other voice recognition app. We can manipulate videos and images. The smoke alarm senses the temperature of the room. Sleeping apps help us sleep by dimming lights of our room by sensing our body temperatures. Artificial Intelligence makes our lives not only comfortable, but also fascinating.
AI on a big scale
AI is even more beneficial to us on a large scale. Food factories have robots in them that use AI to sense typical temperature, humidity, and environment needed for the ultimate taste, color and texture. Grocery stores use AI to scan products. AI is used for security purposes as well.
Artificial Intelligence and machine learning
Artificial intelligence usually uses machine learning technology. Machine learning is the phenomenon in which a machine performs a complex task again and again to encode the ability and precision to perform the task. This repeated manner allows the machine to incorporate patterns.
AI can mimic human behavior to a dangerous extent
AI can be harmful. Machine learning can help AI machines to copy and repeat certain human behavior. This can become dangerous if not controlled. Mankind can be in danger. The only way to control this is to have laws and regulations on technological advancement in all countries.
AI can cause terrorism and nuclear threats
If AI gets in hands of evil hands, it can be used for destructive purpose. Many countries have implemented a law which states that no nation state will militarized AI, especially armed with nuclear weapons. All humans make mistakes, and machines are no different.
So, we have to be very careful.
